Friday 21st April – My Creative Journey
Textile artist Judith creates textural and tactile surfaces with natural fabrics and fibres bonding together cotton and silk to create a base for “painting” with hand and machine stitch.
On Friday, during her talk Judith will outline how she develops her work, starting with an image, thought or idea following through into sketching, sampling, composing and the range of skills required to produce a piece of 2D or 3D art. Rather than using sketchbooks Judith captures her creative journeys in fabric books, creating tactile pages on which she stitches drawings and samples of work.
