Joining us for two days, Nicola Jarvis will be bringing some of her work to to illustrate her Friday evening talk ‘The Art of Embroidery’. Nicola will tell us about how she was inspired by the textile designs of William and May Morris, and developed these ideas for an exhibition of stitch drawings and embroidered textiles.

On Saturday Nicola will lead a workshop “Bijoux Birds”. She supplies a selection of her own Morris-inspired birds printed on silk for participants to stitch and embellish with a variety of beads, sequins and traditional metal thread techniques.
